Winter Sunshine Tonic

While dreaming of palm trees and sunshine this beauty cocktail  gives me the boost I need. The sudden change in weather has me feeling a bit "under the weather" plus the overindulgence during the holidays I'm still feeling the frenzy on my skin and body. I normally juice or prepare a smoothie 2-3 x a week but daily I make a fresh squeezed grapefruit and orange juice. Today, I combined both!

Liquids in the morning are easier on your digestive system than solid foods. It's a good way to detox  your system and give it a break from all the food, sugar and alcohol. Over consumption of  sugar causes the collagen in your skin to become more brittle, which causes wrinkles. Have you ever noticed how dry and dehydrated your skin feels and looks after drinking or eating too much sugar?

This combination of ingredients  delivers a blast of immunity-boosting vitamins and fiber with anti-inflammatory benefits as it starts reducing that post holiday inflammation and regulating insulin levels. All the makings for great skin and a healthy body.
